Problem
Farmium is an on-demand delivery startup from India. It was launched in mid-2020 with an aim to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to customers.
It commenced its operations from Pune which is a tech hub of India and home to hundreds of thousands of young Indians. Farmium team wanted an easy-to-use mobile app through which their customers can place orders in minimal clicks.
Solution
Eiosys team conducted multiple rounds of discussion with the client to have a better understanding of the stakeholders’ expectations from the app. At the end of this exercise, we zeroed down the data fields that would be required in the system. Also, we defined the process for different operations in the system i.e. order, delivery, etc.
In the next step, our UI/UX design team created a mobile app wireframes to give an idea of the flow to the client. On its approval, we started working on the user interface. We asked the client for the company’s brand guidelines, official colors, and preferred font-family.
Our team started developing the mobile app’s user interface. We connected regularly with the client on Google Meet and presented them the screens to capture their feedback. In a few weeks, we had the client’s approval on the app’s mobile UI screens.
On the other side, our backend development team had started the admin panel’s coding. This team connected with the client separately on a weekly basis to showcase to them the progress of the admin panel development. With the requirements listed and approved in detail, there was no difference in the development team’s understanding and the client’s vision.
The mobile app developers started developing the app and integrating the APIs handed by the backend development team. Testing was done at regular intervals to ensure that the system worked fine and was without any issues.
We shared the Android APK and Apple TestFlight access with the client. After final edits and approval, the app was ready to be launched. Our website development team also delivered an informative website for the client.
