Problem

Tiger Shroff is an Indian actor who made his Bollywood debut in 2014. He’s a fitness freak and is known for his martial arts skills. He has a following of 3.3 million users on Twitter, 8.3 million on Facebook and 14 million on Instagram. He launched his activewear lifestyle brand – Prowl Active – in 2018. Prowl Active’s team wanted to create an elegant e-commerce portal to facilitate the selling of the merchandise online. The major challenge for the team was to ensure that the portal handles the traffic of millions of visitors on the launch day and on special events efficiently. The project was implemented with the joint efforts of a couple of IT companies including Eiosys

Solution

We proposed the Magento e-commerce platform for the project because of its features and ability to handle the complexities of such magnitude. The website was integrated with the third-party shipping service provider to automate the pickup of the order from the warehouse. It is also integrated with other third-party applications to get access to real-time inventory and manage financial accounting.

To ensure that the website handles the web traffic adequately, we proposed the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform. We created an efficient cloud architecture and used advanced cloud optimization techniques and several AWS microservices for the website

Impact

The final website is light and has a contemporary look. The system was able to easily manage the traffic of more than 1 million visitors on the launch day and hundreds of thousands of visitors on special events without any interruption
