Problem
Aditya Birla Group is an Indian conglomerate with 19 different businesses operating across 35 countries and having a workforce of 1.5 lac worldwide. Founded in 1857, Aditya Birla Group now consists of companies like Idea, Ultra Tech, Hindalco, Grasim, Pantaloons etc. grossing over US $ 44 billion annually. A work force that is so widespread coupled with lack of analytics of problems faced by the employees made it a challenge for ABG to help its employees at the time of distress.
Solution
Eiosys Pvt. Ltd presented a solution in the form of a mobile app which offers immediate emergency support to the employees, irrespective of their site location.
The Code Red App has 2 ends – user end ; admin end. The employees sign up on the user end and whenever they are in distress they can simply click on the SOS button, which sends a notification to the admin. The admin then sends help based on the employee’s location and the distress stated by them. The app has been curated with a user friendly interface to ensure that all the employees can use it with ease. The solution offered is HIPAA compliant, i.e. it follows the IT standards for sensitive patient data protection.
Impact
With 40,000+ app downloads so far, the Code Red App has provided real time emergency aid to countless employees across different locations.
The app has over 4 star rating on Google Play Store, attesting to the fact that the employees of Aditya Birla Group are actually finding it efficient and useful.
