Problem
Ashapura Commodities is one of India’s largest importers (6% market share) of almonds and dry fruits from the United States and Australia. The company was established in 2013 in Mumbai, India’s commercial hub.
The company conceptualized the TradeBridge platform to target the ₹ 3 Lac crores worth of dry fruits and spices market in India. They wanted to create a platform to ease the purchase process for Kirana stores, dealers, and distributors.
The company was posed with a challenge to create a simple multilingual app that can be used easily by the target audience. Furthermore, the proposed platform would need to have a robust architecture to accommodate their ever-changing business logic.
Solution
We did multiple interview sessions with the client to conceptualize the data fields, user flow, wireframes, and UI screens. The project was divided into multiple phases and the core requirements of the first phase were planned to be prioritized first.
The system had a complex architecture as it had a plethora of custom functionalities and business logic. The backend panel had many modules which included categories management, products management, push notification, coupon code, shipping conditions, approve/reject customer bids, etc.
The project was implemented using Agile methodology. We conducted call sessions with the client every fortnight to showcase the progress of development and capture their feedback. This process was repeated multiple times till the apps were published.

Impact
TradeBridge has achieved a turnover of more than ₹ 40 crores within the first year of business. It has more than 10,000 customers on its platform and has an average order value of ₹ 85,000. You can read its success story has also been published on YouStory.
