Velnik is one of India’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of FMCG (non-food) products. The company specializes in personal care, hair care, skincare, and baby care range of products.
In addition to B2B business, the company also runs a Direct to Customer (D2C) model. It is implemented using their website – velnikstore.com
The company wanted to redesign its existing online store to improve usability and simplify internal processes surrounding its eCommerce operation. The management wanted a sleek design with a CMS system for easy backend functioning.
Solution
Since Velnik’s existing site was live and they already have a large customer base, it was super important to set up a solid foundation early on. We established weekly meetings to discuss the project and make sure everyone associated with the project (client PoCs and Eiosys team) is abreast of the progress.
First, our UI designers came into the picture. They crafted each of the web pages on AdobeXD. We ensured that Velnik’s brand identity continued to shine through whenever people visited different pages on the site. These designs were presented to the client at regular intervals to capture feedback from them. This feedback loop put us on the right trajectory of the development process.
Once the designs of all the pages were locked and approved, our WordPress developers came into action. We decided to do implementation on WooCommerce and use Elementor Page Builder. It took us 5 weeks to build the website. We designed a custom theme and loaded it with custom data fields and features. The final outcome matched the designs conceptualized by our UI designers in the first step.
Our QA team did the final job of testing the website on different browsers, versions, devices, and geolocations. Once we were satisfied with the results, we handed it over to the client for beta and UAT.
Velnik’s team loved the fresh look of the website and gave us permission to go live. The website is currently under our website maintenance services. Currently, we ensure that the website continues to function smoothly as intended and also help the client in implementing new features and performing edits based on the feedback shared by their SEO team.
